This unique hand-knotted, medium-pile Beni Ourain style rug is part of The Heather Collection created in collaboration with Assilah Rugs and White Otter Design Co. It features a cream base with a large, central floral design in green, brown, pink and blue. The designs came from Jaymie's beadwork, which is inspired by her Anishnaabe culture, her family and the land. The designs strive to pull traditional elements and mix them with contemporary design. Made of natural wool, Beni Ourain rugs made in Morocco have a plush feeling that resembles walking on a cloud. They add warmth and a luxurious feeling to any room.

Assilah Rugs is a family business. A labour of love for Rahaf Kokash and her brother in law Shereef Shiaty. Shereef manages the company from Toronto, Canada while Rahaf does the buying in Morocco. The rugs are all handmade by talented artisans who use ancient, Indigenous Berber wool rug weaving techniques from how they source the wool, to preparing it for use and then using it for weaving. They are all weaved by woman and made using natural materials.
